On Tuesday 22 January 2019, Asharqia Chamber will organize expanded meeting of the Events, Exhibitions, Accommodation and Tour Operators sector in the Eastern Region, at the headquarter of the Chamber in Dammam, at 5:30 pm.
The meeting, which is part of the activities and programs of the Hospitality and Entertainment Committee of 2019, aims to exchange views on the most important topics related to the events, exhibitions, accommodation and tour operators' sector, and discuss the possibilities, activities and programs of companies and institutions operating in the sector and how to enter the market of tourism competition in the Eastern Region.
The Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Hospitality and Leisure Committee of Asharqia Chamber, Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Boali, confirmed that the sector of events, exhibitions, accommodation and tour operators is seen by the Vision of the Kingdom of 2030 as a major driver of growth as part of its strategy to diversify the economic base to optimize the utilization of available resources and that it has had a significant impact on advancing development and creating more employment opportunities among the national labor forces.
Al-Boali pointed out the importance of such meetings, which will strengthen the development paths of the sector.
He pointed out that the meeting will include an open dialogue on all topics that concern the leaders of the sector in the region, whether related to the share of companies and local institutions of the tourism market, and the possibility of working blocs to work in the major projects currently implemented by the Kingdom, or regarding the obstacles facing the sector, whether financial or organizational, and then put appropriate solutions to them and submit them to the competent authorities.
